Pass the Pumpkin Game

This super low prep and fun Halloween game is perfect for preschool and kindergarten students. All you need are a few simple materials and kids will be entertained for hours. Keep this on hand for classroom community builders and celebration games. It makes the perfect Minute to Win it activity for class parties, especially with older kids.

Supplies Required:

  • Toilet paper rolls
    markers
    leftover Easter plastic eggs (We used orange to look like pumpkins)
    bowl

Pass the Pumpkin Halloween Game: How to

Draw spooky zombie or ghost faces on your toilet paper tubes. Use a sharpie to add a scary face to your eggs as well. Set up 4 or 5 toilet paper tubes in a line and set an egg on the first one. Kids will grab the toilet roll and dump the egg into the next toilet paper roll. They will repeat this until they get to the last roll, where they will dump the egg into a bowl. It's a great fine motor activity and can easily be turned into a partner or team game.

Feed the Jack-O-Lantern Sensory and Fine Motor Activity

I love sensory activities for preschoolers, toddlers, and beyond. This pumpkin activity is perfect for kids of all ages as a busy bag or fine motor practice activity. You just need a few simple materials.

Supplies Required:

  • Ziploc bag
  • pumpkin seeds
  • styling gel
  • food coloring (red, orange, yellow, green)
  • plastic cups
  • sharpie marker

Feed the Jack-O-Lantern Sensory : How to

Place some styling gel and food coloring into plastic cups and mix it around. I used red, yellow, orange, and green. Draw a pumpkin face on a plastic bag. Dump the different colors of gel into the plastic bag. Add pumpkin seeds and seal the bag. Have kids push the pumpkin seeds around in the bag and get them to the pumpkin's mouth! They will love helping create this pumpkin craft as well.

Monster Necklace - A Cool Halloween Idea

Want a simple activity for preschoolers to complete while working on fine motor skills? This is a fun craft that kids can take home and share with their families. Classroom activities like this are great to have in morning work tubs or sensory bins for students to create over and over.

Supplies Required:

  • toilet paper tubes
  • pipe cleaner
  • shoelace or string
  • markers

Halloween Monster Necklace : How to

Draw scary faces on your toilet tubes. Tie a pipe cleaner around the end of your string. Punch holes in the top of your toilet paper tubes using a hole punch. Use the pipe cleaner to thread your string through the holes in each tube, making a necklace. Once all of your tubes are on the string, tie off the string, and you have a fancy Halloween necklace!

Halloween Sensory Rice Bin 

Try out this fun and low-prep Witch themed rice sensory bin to practice name, letters, numbers and much more! It’s a great fine motor and hand writing practice activity for preschoolers and toddlers! These FREE Witch alphabet and Numbers task card are super spooky and perfect for October Morning bin.

  • Ziplock bag
  • rice

Once the rice is evenly covered in green color, put in on a tray to dry. It should take couple of hours for the rice to completely dry up. Take a tray and a black construction paper, spread the dried rice on the paper add corns and Halloween props like spiders, bats etc. he Students pick a witch letter card or Number Card identify the letter or sound and write the letter on the baggie. That's it! This colored rice can be stored for long for repeated use.

If you want a fun game to add to your preschool or kindergarteners classroom, try this spooky and simple fishing game. You just need a few simple materials and you're ready to go.

Supplies Required:

  • paper clips
  • plastic bugs or rings
  • pipe cleaners 
  • mini cauldron or bowl
  • magnet

Spooky Fishing Game : How to

Attach each of your plastic bugs to a paper clip. Then, attach a pipe cleaner to the end of a stick. Use a magnetic dart (or any magnet you can find) and attach it to the other end of the pipe cleaner. Kids will use the fishing rod you created to pick up bugs and place them in the cauldron!

Rescue The Spiders: A Fine Motor Halloween Game 

Here's another fine motor and Minute to Win it game for a fall celebration! Kids will enjoy grabbing the critters out of the basket and avoiding the strings as they go!

Supplies Required:

  • Plastic bin from Dollar Tree
  • String
  • small plastic bugs, bats, and creepy crawlies
  • plastic tweezers

Rescue the Spiders : How to

Tie string like a web through the holes of the plastic bin. Then, add your spooky critters to the bottom of the basket. Give your child plastic tweezers to pick out the critters, practicing their fine motor skills. Remind them to use the tweezers and not their fingers as much as possible!

To add to the fun use a witch's finger to draw or write on the sensory bag. The Students pick a witch letter card or Number Card identify the letter or sound and write the letter on the baggie. That's it! This sensory bag can be stored for long for repeated usage.

Crayon Resist Magic Spider Activity

This Crayon resist magic Spider activity is a super fun way to evaluate or review letter, numbers, sight words and much more! It's a magic activity wherein the students are thrilled to hunt for letters or numbers in the Spider's tummy! It's a a great Literacy and Math activity for the month if October.

Easy Spider Craft  : How to

Spiders are one of the most important part of Halloween activities . This Spider literacy and math activity is a clear winner for all! Super low prep for teachers and greatly engaging for students! Draw spiders on a piece of paper using anything round( I used a bottle cap), Using a white crayon write letters /numbers/sight words/names or whatever you plan to incorporate in your October lesson plan. Dip pom pom and clothespin, in a solution of black water color and water, and start to rub on the spiders tummy to reveal the magic letters!
